Cottage cheese (5 % fat content) - 350 gr

Semolina - 50 g

Quick oat flakes - 60 g

Egg - 1 egg

Sugar - 30 gr

Salt - 1 pinch

Baking powder - 1 pinch

Vegetable oil (for frying) - 20 ml

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

The cottage cheese is suitable for any fat content.

Use instant oat flakes.

Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.

Transfer the cottage cheese to a bowl. Knead it with a spoon until homogeneous and without lumps.

Add the egg to the cottage cheese and mix until smooth.

Stir in the sugar and salt.

Add the oats and stir to combine.

Stir in the semolina and baking powder. Leave the curd mixture at room temperature to swell the oatmeal and semolina for 2 hours.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan.

Take a portion of the curd mass with a spoon, with slightly damp hands form a round flatbread of medium size and put into a hot pan. Fry the cheesecakes on moderate heat for 2-3 minutes, until golden brown.

Turn the cheesecakes to the other side, reduce the heat. Cover with a lid and cook for another 8-10 minutes over low heat. During the frying time the cheesecakes will become soft and juicy.

Then put them on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.

The cheesecakes with oatmeal flakes and semolina are ready. Serve the cheesecakes to the table immediately after cooking with your favorite additives: jam, honey, condensed milk, sour cream.

Bon appetit!
