Pancake "Dutch crumb" in the oven

Recipe photo: Pancake "Dutch Chip" in the oven An American dish with the unusual name "Dutch baby" refers to a type of pancake. But, unlike our usual pancakes, it is not baked in a pan, but in the oven, which makes it very original looking, ruddy, with a crispy crust. It's a great breakfast, snack or dessert!

Ingredients (for 2 servings)

Eggs - 2 pcs.

Milk - 100 ml

Butter - 25 ml

Flour - 50 gr

Salt - 1 pinch

*

For serving (optional)

Powdered sugar - 1-2 tsp.

Lemon juice - 1-2 tsp

Prepare the products according to the list. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Melt the butter in any way convenient for you.

This can be done in a saucepan on the stove over medium heat or in the microwave at minimum power.

In a deep bowl, combine the eggs, milk and salt.

Sieve the flour through a fine sieve into the bowl with the milk and eggs.

Whisk with a fork or whisk until smooth.

Heat a heavy bottomed pan without wooden or rubber inserts (my pan has a diameter of 20 centimeters) on a high heat. Pour the melted butter into it and turn off the heat.

Immediately, right into the butter, pour the pancake batter and put it in the oven preheated to 180 degrees.

Bake the danish baby for about 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. The pancake will rise a lot at first, but then fall off - this is normal.

Take the finished Dutch Baby pancake out of the oven, sprinkle with powdered sugar, drizzle with lemon juice and serve.

Bon appetit
