Pumpkin dumplings with cheese, ginger and garlic

Ingredients (for 4 servings)

Pumpkin - 500 gr

Flour - 250 gr

Hard cheese - 200 gr

Eggs - 2 pcs.

Ginger (root) - 40 g

Garlic - 5 cloves

Fresh parsley - 2 sprigs

Fresh dill - 2 sprigs

Vegetable oil (for frying) - 4 tablespoons

Salt - 0.5 tsp.

Ground black pepper - 1 pinch

 

Prepare the necessary products.

Wash the fresh herbs and dry them on a paper towel.

Peel the pumpkin, garlic and ginger. Remove the soft fibrous part of the pumpkin core with the seeds.

Grate the pumpkin on a coarse grater.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

In a deep container, combine the pumpkin and cheese.

In a bowl add eggs and mix thoroughly.

Add flour.

Dill and parsley finely chop.

Add them to the pumpkin mixture.

Grate ginger and garlic on a fine grater.

Put ginger and garlic in a bowl with the dough.

Pour salt and ground black pepper.

The resulting mass of thoroughly mixed again and leave for about 1 hour, it becomes juicier and more pliable.

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil.

Spoon the pumpkin mixture into the pan, forming oval flatbreads. For one patty you will need 1 tbsp. of "dough".

Fry pumpkin dumplings on medium heat for 3 minutes on each side.

Place the finished pancakes on a plate lined with a paper towel to soak up the excess oil.

Pumpkin dumplings with cheese, ginger and garlic are ready.

Serve the doughnuts with sour cream.
