Dryniki with brynza

Recipe photo: Dryniki with sheep cheese Draniki - fritters made of grated potatoes - is a favorite dish for many people. In addition to the classic recipe, there are many variations of draniki. Today we are going to make pancakes filled with bryndza. The salty taste of bryndza perfectly complements the taste of fried grated potatoes!

Ingredients (for 3 servings)

Potatoes (peeled) - 500 g

Onions - 60 g

Flour - 40 g

Egg - 1 egg

Brynza - 130 g

Vegetable oil - 60 ml

Ground black pepper - to taste

Salt - to taste

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Peel the potatoes, rinse and dry them with a paper towel.

Grate potatoes on a coarse grater, squeeze out the juice and transfer to a bowl.

Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.

Add onion to potatoes. Add egg, flour, salt and black pepper.

Stir the potato mixture.

Grate brynza on a coarse grater into another bowl.

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil over medium heat. Spoon 1 tbsp of the potato mixture into the pan, forming thin flatbreads.

Immediately place about 1 tsp. grated brynza on each potato patty.

Immediately cover the brynza with the potato mixture (about 0.5 tbsp. per potato patty).

Fry the pancakes over medium heat for about 4 minutes on each side, until nicely golden.

Use all the potato mixture and grated bryndza in this way. I ended up with a total of 9 dredniks.

The dredits with bryndza are ready.

Serve the draniki hot or warm, topped with sour cream if you want.

Bon appetit!
