Garlic fritters with kefir (without eggs)

Recipe photo: Garlic Kefir Pancakes (without eggs) Unsweetened snack fritters with a pleasant garlic flavor are quite capable of becoming a good alternative to pampushkas. There are no eggs in the batter for kefir pancakes, so the pancakes are not too fluffy, but they are appetizing, soft and tender. Worth a try!

Ingredients (for 6 servings)

Kefir - 0,5 l

Wheat flour - 125 g

Garlic - 2-3 cloves

Mayonnaise - 25 g

Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons + 3-4 tablespoons for frying

Soda - 1/2 tsp.

Ground turmeric - 1/4 tsp.

Salt - 1/2 tsp

Prepare the necessary products. Instead of turmeric you can use any other spice.

Peel the garlic and pass it through a press or grate it on a fine grater.

In a bowl combine the garlic, mayonnaise, salt and turmeric. Stir.

Pour the kefir. Thoroughly mix.

In a separate container mix flour and baking soda.

In portions, each time stirring, add to the bowl with kefir the mixture of flour and baking soda.

Pour in vegetable oil. Stir to mix.

Leave the pancake batter on the table for about 10-15 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Pour 1-2 tablespoons of batter into the pan, forming small pancakes. Fry fritters for about 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

If desired, you can cover the pan with a lid while frying.

Place the finished fritters on a paper towel to soak up the excess oil.

Serve the garlic pancakes in kefir warm or cold.

These fritters can be served with ketchup, sour cream or greens.

Bon appetit
