Ingredients (for 3 servings)

Strawberries - 150 gr

Kefir - 220 g

Flour - 140 gr (1 cup of 200 ml)

Egg - 1 egg

Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons + for frying

Sugar - 50g (3 tablespoons)

Baking powder - 1 tsp.

Soda - 1/2 tsp.

Salt - to tast

Prepare the products according to the list.

Kefir should be at room temperature - take it out of the fridge beforehand.

In a deep bowl combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Stir together.

In a separate bowl combine the kefir, sugar and salt.

Add vegetable oil to the kefir.

Then add egg. Mix thoroughly.

Mix the flour with the baking soda and baking powder in a bowl with the kefir. Thoroughly mix until homogeneous.

Allow the pancake batter to stand at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Rinse the strawberries thoroughly, pat dry and remove the sepals. Slice the strawberries into small pieces.

Grease a frying pan with vegetable oil and heat over medium heat. Spoon 1 tablespoon of batter into the pan to form small pancakes.

Spread slices of strawberries on top of the batter.

Fry the pancakes over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until brown.

Remove the fritters from the pan.

Bake fritters of remaining dough and strawberries in the same manner.

Fragrant strawberry fritters with kefir are ready.
