Draniki with potatoes and apples

Potato and apple drenniki turn out very tasty, with a crispy crust on the outside and tender and juicy inside. Even though there are almost as many apples as there are potatoes, the fruity note in the finished dish is barely detectable.  

Ingredients (for 3 servings)

Potatoes (peeled) - 400 g

Apples - 250 g

Garlic - 10 gr

Egg - 1 egg

Flour - 50 gr

Fresh dill - 10 g

Salt - to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

Vegetable oil - 50 ml

 

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Take potatoes of varieties that have a lot of starch. You will need less flour because of this.

Use sweet and sour apples.

Dill can be replaced with any other herbs.

Peel potatoes, grate them on a coarse grater and put them in a bowl.

Peel and peel apples, grate them on a coarse grater and add to potatoes. Stir it up.

Add egg and mix.

Finely chop the dill (leaves only).

Peel and crush the garlic.

Add the dill and garlic to the potato mixture. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Stir to mix.

Stir in the flour.

Stir it in.

Heat a frying pan with oil. Spoon potato mixture into pan, forming small flatbreads.

Fry the potato flapjacks over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until browned.

Place the potato flapjacks on a paper towel, so that the excess oil is absorbed.

Do the same with all the potato mass.

Potato and apple darniki are ready - serve at once and top with sour cream if you want.
