Potato pancakes with cheese, green onions and garlic (in the oven)
Ingredients (for 3 servings)
Potatoes - 680 g
Hard cheese - 200 gr
Eggs - 2 units
Butter - 80 g
Green onions - 20 g
Garlic - 4 cloves
Dried oregano - 1 tsp.
Ground black pepper - to taste
Salt - to taste
Oil (for baking) - 10-15 m
Prepare the necessary products. We also need ice water (about 0.5 liters).
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Grate hard cheese on a medium grater.
The potatoes are peeled and grated on a medium grater. Put the grated potatoes in a bowl.
Pour ice-cold water over the potatoes to get rid of the starch.
Then squeeze out the potatoes as much as possible and put them in a deep container.
Melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath.
Pour the melted butter to the potatoes.
Add cheese and eggs, poured oregano, ground black pepper and salt.
Finely chop the green onions and add them to the potatoes.
Peel the garlic, grate it on a medium grater or pass it through a press. Add the garlic to the potatoes.
Mix everything until homogeneous.
Line a baking tray with parchment and grease it with vegetable oil.
Form small oval flatbreads from the potato and cheese mass and put them on the tray. The flatbread should be a little bigger (not too flat), since they will still settle when baked.
We send the baking tray in the oven heated to 200 degrees, bake the potato pancakes for 30-40 minutes, until they are golden.
Potato pancakes with cheese, green onions and garlic are ready. Remove from the baking tray and serve.
