Chocolate pancakes with kefir

Recipe photo: Buttermilk Chocolate Pancakes Kefir pancakes are very fluffy and soft, moderately sweet, with a rich chocolate flavor and aroma.

Ingredients (for 4 servings)

Flour - 120 gr

Egg - 1 egg

Kefir (any fat content) - 250 ml

Cocoa powder - 40 g

Vegetable oil - 20 ml

Sugar - 50 gr

Salt - 0,5 tsp.

Soda - 0,5 tsp

Prepare all the ingredients.

Take the kefir out of the refrigerator beforehand so that it becomes room temperature. (You can leave it in the kitchen overnight.)

Use good quality cocoa.

If desired, half of the wheat flour can be substituted for the whole wheat flour.

In a deep bowl, sift the flour and cocoa powder. Mix with a whisk until smooth.

Add sugar, salt and baking powder.

In a separate bowl beat the egg.

Pour in the kefir and unscented vegetable oil, mix well.

Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry mixture.

Stir to make sure there are no lumps. The mixture should be thick and not very fluid.

Place pancake pan on medium heat - below medium - and heat well. Do not use oil when frying. Take a portion of the batter (half of a standard ladle) and pour it into the center of the heated pan. Gently spread the batter with the bottom of the ladle to make a round layer.

Fry the pancake over low heat for 1-1.5 minutes on each side.

Transfer the pancake to a plate or board.

Fry all the pancakes from the entire batter in this manner.

Serve chocolate kefir pankakes to the table immediately after making, if desired, topped with sour cream, condensed milk, honey, jam, fresh berries and fruit.
