Products (for 6 servings)

For the pancakes:

Flour - 150 gr

Egg - 1 egg.

Sugar - 1/2 tbsp.

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Salt - 1 pinch

Water - 300 ml

Potatoes - 300 gr (2 large)

Carrots - 100 gr (1 piece)

Crab Sticks - 90 gr

Eggs - 2 pcs.

Mayonnaise - 200 gr (to taste)

Salt - to taste

Fresh herbs - 2 sprig

Prepare the necessary products.

Boil the potatoes in their skins until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Take the potatoes out of the broth and cool.

Boil the carrots until tender, about 25 minutes. Take the carrots out of the broth and cool.

Boil two hard-boiled eggs (8-10 minutes after boiling water). We cool eggs in cold water.

We prepare the batter for the pancakes. For this purpose beat 1 egg with a whisk.

Pour water into a bowl. Add the beaten egg, sugar and a pinch of salt.

Sift flour. Add flour to liquid ingredients and mix with a whisk.

The consistency of the dough should be about as thick as cream.

Add vegetable oil and mix.

Heat a frying pan and grease it with oil. I have a frying pan with a diameter of 16 cm. On a heated frying pan pour a portion of the batter (one ladle) and distribute an even layer. Reduce the heat and fry the pancake until it browns on one side. The pan can be covered with a lid.

Turn over and fry the pancake on the other side until it browns, about 1-2 minutes.

This amount of dough makes 5 thick pancakes.

Prepare stuffing. Peel boiled potatoes, grate them, add 1 tbsp. mayonnaise and mix. If necessary, you can add salt.

Peel carrots, grate on a coarse grater, add 1 tbsp mayonnaise and mix.

Peel the eggs, grate them on a coarse grater, add 1 tbsp mayonnaise and mix.

Assemble the snack cake. On a flat plate we put one pancake. Spread half of the potato mixture on the pancake and distribute it evenly all over the surface.

Cover with the second pancake. On this pancake we spread out carrot mass as an even layer.

We cover the pancake, spread the egg mixture on it and distribute it all over the surface.

Cover with the fourth pancake, spread the remaining potato mixture evenly on it.

Free the crab sticks from the cellophane wrapping. Cut off the red part of the crab sticks and put aside, and grate the white part and mix with 1 tbsp mayonnaise.

Cover with the last pancake, put a white layer of crab sticks with mayonnaise and spread it all over the surface.

Cover the layered cake top and sides with mayonnaise.

Grate the remaining red pieces of crab sticks on a fine grater and sprinkle the cake on all sides. Place the cake in the refrigerator for about 2-3 hours.

The appetizer pancake cake with crab sticks, potatoes and carrots is ready. Decorate the appetizer with herbs and serve it to the table.
