Photos for the Recipe: Heart Pancakes with Jam Have you thought about what you will surprise your dearest and most loved ones for Valentine's Day? Prepare a delicious, and most importantly, a beautiful holiday dish - pancake hearts with jam. Everything is very simple and fast. You can use your favorite pancake batter recipe for cooking, and see this recipe for serving ideas.

Products (for 5 servings)

Milk - 300 ml

Flour - 160 gr

Eggs - 2 units.

Sugar - 1 tsp.

Salt - 0,5 tsp.

Cherry jam (any red cherry) - 200 gr

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp

Prepare all the ingredients.

Use any red jam of your choice.

The fat content of the milk is not important.

In a deep bowl beat the eggs. Then add salt and sugar.

Arm yourself with a hand whisk and whisk the eggs with the salt and sugar until smooth.

Pour in the milk. Stir with a whisk.

Add sifted flour (160 g is 1 250 ml. cup). Mix until homogeneous, so that there are no flour lumps.

The dough turns out quite liquid and well flowing. If you dip a spatula into the dough and run your finger over it, a trace will remain. This means that the batter is ready and the pancakes will not tear. If this does happen, then you need to add a little more flour.

I use a non-stick pancake pan. The diameter of the bottom is 18 cm. Put the frying pan on moderate heat and heat well. Dip a brush in oil and grease the bottom of the pan. Stir the batter and scoop out an incomplete ladleful. Pour the batter into the pan and with quick circular motions spread it all over the bottom. Fry the pancakes over low heat on both sides, until brown.

I ended up with 11 full pancakes and one small one.

Now proceed to decorate and serve nicely. Roll up the pancake into a tight roll.

Fold the pancake roll in half. Flip the roll on its "edge" and make a cut in the center, keeping a hand, not cutting to the edge of 1.5-2 cm.

Shape the pancakes into a heart shape.

Place the heart pancakes on a flat plate. I think 2 will be enough per serving, depending on your appetite. In the center of each heart, add about 20-25 grams of red jam. I have cherry jam.

I garnished the pancake hearts with what I had in my kitchen: mint leaves and pomegranate seeds. You can also use berries or fruit to serve.

The pancake hearts with jam are ready.

Enjoy your tea party
